iCardSort is an excellent brainstorming tool that helps you to visually organize ideas quickly and easily.  Whether working on a business project or trying to decide on this year's vacation destination, you simply place each of your options on a card.  iCardSort allows you to group, order, and explore your possibilities.  Then, when you are ready, share it with everyone involved.

The iPad requires at least one default launch image. To support all orientations you are likely to need two in most situations. Apple suggests that these should not be a logo splash screen but rather your normal UI with no data showing. They recommend this to give the user the impression of a faster launching application.

I'm happy to announce our training classes for July in New York City. We'll have three separate 1 day classes so you can mix and match based on your experience and interest. They can be taken in any combination and the iPad class will be co-taught with Kirby Turner, author of an upcoming iPad book.

• Day 1 - Intro to iPhone / iOS programming July 21
• Day 2 - Intermediate iPhone programming July 22
• Day 3 - iPad for iPhone developers July 23

All classes will run 9:30am - 5pm with a break for lunch at SL Conference Centers at 352 7th Ave (& 30h st) 16th floor. Attendees must bring a laptop with the latest iPhone/iOS SDK installed.

The iPad supports an external display with the UIScreen and UIScreenMode classes as described in the What's New in iPhone OS document. This is intended for applications to present two different views on two different windows.

The iPad is an amazing device. I love reading on it and developing content based apps for it. To do that more efficiently I'm developing a platform to create interactive media readers I’m calling the platform "Pikes Peak Viewer". (Yes, I can use some branding help but I'm taking it one step at a time.)

Is your pet fascinated my moving things? App For Cats will make you laugh as your best friend tries to figure out what is going on. Touch the little critters and they make a noise and speed up.

Shake the device to get a different background and creature. Works on both iPhone and iPad.

Seems to be the big thing on everyone's minds. There are a lot of people with differing opinions but I love mine and am excited about the possibilities for where this will take us. On a related note, it is shaping up to be a busy busy month.

I’m helping to organize the first iPhoneDevCamp in Colorado Springs: iPadDevCamp!  This event will coincide with the launch of the iPad and will be the first iPad-focused software developer's event.

Along with the iPad last week Apple announced iBooks with support for the ePub format and iBookstore. We don’t know the details of what will be available, what we will be able to do, or how we will interact with it but I was curious about the iPub format and am sure it will see increased activity and interest in the future.

Teehan+Lax, the people who brought you the iPhone photoshop mock up file have just released a similar file for the iPad.
